We are Charles, Suzie, George and Maisie and we moved to Spain in May 2008, seeking the good life!

During 2008, we renovated our own home – Huerta Salazar – which sits in the middle of our Organic fruit farm.

At the same time, we renovated a neaby shepard’s cottage and stable into two beautiful one bedroom properties which are full of charm and character and nestled in a small valley next to a small river.

Our farm was abandoned for 10 years and we have spent many hours, with the help of locals, creating our environment. The farm is Organic and we are growing most citrus fruits, figs, avocado’s, plums, peaches, Nectorines, cherries and more, following ecological farming methods and licensed by the Comite Andaluz de Agricultura Ecologica - CAAE.

We have also been growing our own vegetables and depending on the time of the year, we are happy for our visitors to taste everything that we have to offer.

We encourage environmental awareness and all grey water from the properties on the farm is recycled using a unique ‘Bio-Bubble’ aeration treatment from a UK Company where the treated waste is then used as irrigation for our trees and other plants.

The heating and hot water in the main farm house is provided by heat from the ground using Geothermal technology which not only reduces our carbon footprint, but reduces our fuel costs by up to 70% . Geotec website
